Sept. 21 — Hundreds invited to perform original song ‘We All Pray The Same’ for International Day of Peace Celebration

WESTLAKE VILLAGE — Get ready to lend your voice for peace as part of a worldwide movement.

Hundreds are invited to join together in spirit and song to sing “We All Pray the Same,” at an interfaith and multi-cultural celebration on Friday, September 21st at Westlake’s Global Truth Center in observance of the worldwide International Day of Peace.

Unifying all cultures, religions and spiritual traditions, the event includes the participation of local clergy, spiritual leaders, churches, temples, mosques, schools and community organizations. Embodying a community of diverse races, cultures and faiths, the goal is to inspire joy, peace, and unity among all people.

“The gift of song is a powerful force for strengthening the ideals of peace and provides a space for a common unity among all of us,” says Dr. James Mellon, Spiritual Director of Global Truth Center. As a former Broadway star and award-winning songwriter, he penned “We All Pray the Same” with Scott DeTurk, to reflect a oneness of love and unconditional acceptance.

Participants will be divided into groups to create a magical four-part harmony for the scheduled event in the sanctuary of Global Truth Center at 880 Hampshire Road, Westlake Village.

Festivities will get underway at 7:00 p.m. and the event will be broadcast via live stream @ 8:00 p.m. @ globaltruthcenter.org. This event is free of charge. All Are Welcome!
