MONTECITO — Friendship Center is putting on its 8th Annual Wine Down & Big Heart Awards on Thursday, September 13th from 4:00 – 7:00 pm. Featuring wine and beer tastings from 12 local businesses, this is an event not to miss.
“Our Wine Down and Big Heart Awards is a chance to enjoy a casual event with our supporters in our Montecito location’s beautiful outdoor courtyard,” stated Pat Forgey, Friendship Center’s Board President. “Funds raised go toward program activities and entertainment resources. Join us for a delightful evening tasting wine, beer, and light fare as we make a difference in the lives of our members.”
The event will feature tastings from Andrew Murray Vineyards, Au Bon Climat, Buttonwood Farm Winery, Captain Fatty’s Brewery, Fess Parker Winery, Gainey Vineyard, Kitá Wines, Lafond Winery, Qupé Winery, Santa Barbara Winery, Vinemark Cellars, and Zaca Mesa Winery, as well as hearty hors d’oeuvres from Spices N Rice and live music by Montecito Jazz Project.
Friendship Center’s Big Heart Awards will be presented to notable supporters at the event, and guests will have the chance to bid on silent auction of unique gift baskets and live auction courtesy of our auctioneer, Stephen Meade of KJEE. A portion of the proceeds from this event go to LEAP (Life Enrichment Activity Program), providing music and movement sessions led by local entertainers and instructors to engage our members in body, mind, and spirit.
