SINGLE-PAYER HEALTHCARE TOWN HALL
Presented by: Ryan Skolnick (CDP Delegate, Simi Valley) & Mari Lopez (California Nurses Association Community Organizer)
Speakers will discuss next steps for single-payer healthcare in light of recent CA Assembly & Senate appointments. Format will be an interactive town hall; audience participation encouraged.
GENERAL ELECTION ENDORSEMENTS (Part 1)
Candidates endorsed for the Primary are still endorsed for races where there is a single Democratic candidate in the General Election.
In order to ensure a robust endorsement process for the remaining races, we are dividing the list of races into 2 groups. Endorsements for the following races will be decided at the August 8th meeting:
- Conejo Valley Unified School Board
- State Governor
- State Attorney General
Also on the Agenda:
- Resolution Opposing AB84 (discussion & vote)
AB84 allows larger individual campaign contributions; also allows state legislative leaders to support candidates NOT endorsed by the state party
