May 12 — 9th Annual Treasure Sale to benefit Puerto Rico hurricane victims to be held at First United Methodist Church of Santa Barbara

SANTA BARBARA — The Missions committee of First United Methodist Church of Santa Barbara will hold its 9th annual Treasure Sale, with all proceeds designated to aid the 100,000 Puerto Ricans still suffering from the impacts of Hurricane Maria, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 12 at 305 E. Anapamu, Santa Barbara.

Sale items include new and gently used clothing, books, household, and furniture.

The annual Treasure Sale supports the disaster relief efforts of UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief), a Charity Navigator 5-star rated organization serving people affected by disasters, both domestically and globally.  This year’s proceeds are designated for Puerto Rico survivors as UMCOR’s outreach there continues.

First United Methodist Church of Santa Barbara celebrated its 150th year as a congregation in 2017.  Our historic sanctuary, built in 1927 in the Spanish Colonial Revival Style, is located at the corner of Garden and Anapamu Streets, one block from the SB Courthouse. Onsite parking is available with the parking entrance off Garden Street. For more information call 963-3579, e-mail office@fumcsb.org,  or visit our website www.fumcsb.org
