1:00 P.M. PRESENTATION: DATING YOUR 20TH CENTURY FAMILY PHOTOS
PRESENTER: Jane Neff Rollins
Do you have a shoebox full of early 20th century family pictures with no labels indicating who the people were? Wouldn’t you like to learn how to analyze the photos systematically to pinpoint when they may have been taken? That’s what this presentation will teach you. Then you might be able to identify the mystery people whose names were lost with time.
2:30 P.M. WORKSHOP: SNAGIT 2018 Snagit is a program that runs on Windows or MacOS and facilitates capturing images on your screen and editing them. John Callahan will provide a workshop to help us improve our Snagit skills. He will review the basics as it applies to your genealogy work. Then he will update us on the new 2018 version. Even if you’ve never seen how Snagit works, you will find this workshop fascinating and helpful.
10:30 A.M. – 11:30 A.M.: VCGS DNA SPECIAL INTEREST GROUP MEETING Please join us for a presentation titled “My DNA Results Are Here, Now What?” This is probably the most common question we hear, and we want to help you start off right. Teri Reynolds will present a Best Practices Checklist, suitable no matter which company you have used for testing.
