Popular Parent-Child Classes Now Tuition Free, Convenient to Goleta

SANTA BARBARA — This Spring, parents of 18-month- to 3-year-olds can learn valuable skills while attending age-specific morning groups with their children at the SBCC School of Extended Learning. Held at UCSB Family Student Housing for all parents, Growing Times I and II are among the School of Extending Learning’s most popular parenting classes and are now available tuition-free.

Parents or caregivers meet weekly to learn to develop a safe and stimulating environment with age-appropriate activities. Parents learn about typical stages of development through child observation, direct participation with other families and informal discussion groups. The skills learned in this class promote positive parenting attitudes and healthy parent-child relationships.
