The September 9 event will also feature gourmet dining from Wildwood Kitchen,
a Silent Auction, and an African Marketplace
Santa Barbara, CA, August 22, 2017 — Africa Women Rising will host Music in the Garden to be held Saturday, September 9, 2017, starting at 5:30 PM at 801 Cold Spring Road, Santa Barbara.

Headlining the event will be local favorite, Glen Phillips, from Toad the Wet Sprocket, joined by Sean Watkins from Nickel Creek, and Sarah Lee Guthrie.

Wildwood Kitchen will cater the event with their trademark smoked and barbecued meats and a variety of speciality dishes using locally-sourced and in-season ingredients. The event will also feature a silent auction and African marketplace.

The event’s proceeds will benefit African Women Rising, a small non-profit with big impact. African Women Rising was started in 2006 in Santa Barbara and Uganda to empower women after war by providing technical skills and support for success via education, agriculture, and micro-finance training.
