Assemblymember Limón hosts ‘Hike with Monique’

SANTA BARBARAAssemblymember Monique Limón hosted the Hike with Monique, an event to get to know constituents and get outside in Assembly District 37. The hike, which took place on Saturday, May 13, started in Stevens Park, and continued on the Jesusita Trail.

“When I am working at the Capitol, I am often stuck inside all day. When I am home in the district, I want to get outside and meet people—the Hike with Monique was a great way to do both,” said Assemblymember Limón.

The two-mile beginner hike brought out community members from all over the district. Students from Adelante School’s 6th grade class joined the hike, and presented Assemblymember Limón with their policy ideas around climate change.

“It was a beautiful day to be out in nature,” said Assemblymember Limón. “What better way to spend a Saturday morning, than getting to know my neighbors, getting some exercise and getting out in the great outdoors.”

The next Hike with Monique will be held on July 15 in Ventura County.
