2017 Climate Protection Planning

  • WHEN: Thursday, February 9th. Doors open 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
  • WHERE: Unitarian-Universalist Church of Ventura, 5654 Ralston St, Ventura, 93003, rear parking lot to Fellowship Hall.
  • WHAT: The Ventura County Climate Hub February meeting will be a goal setting meeting for climate policy, events and celebrations.
  • WHO: Ventura County Climate Hub is a grassroots, non-partisan local affiliate of 350.org with 26 local partner organizations and increasing numbers of people engaged in a variety of working groups. Planning will focus in three areas: policy, transition actions, and arts, media and celebrations.
  • WHY: To create a local movement working to reverse climate change by engaging together to promote clean energy (off of fossil fuels), environmental justice, appreciation for the interconnectedness of humans in the ecosystem, and celebration of the beauty of our planet.
