Montecito Family YMCA Elects Sally Jo Murren as New Board Chair

Sally Jo Murren. Courtesy photo.MONTECITO — The Montecito Family YMCA is proud to announce Sally Jo Murren as new board chair.

Murren has served on the Board of Managers since 2013. She currently serves as the Director of Sales with Four Seasons Resort The Biltmore Santa Barbara. Murren began her career at the Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts in 1997. Since then, she has held management positions in San Diego, Maui, and Palm Beach.

“We are very excited for Sally Jo to serve at the helm of our Board,” stated Michael Yamasaki, Executive Director of the Montecito Family YMCA. “Her energy, enthusiasm and civic-minded spirit have been a positive influence on the Y and the community and I’m sure we will continue to benefit from Sally Jo’s leadership.”

Murren is a graduate of Brighton University in England with a degree in hospitality. She and her children, Alexander and Rosie, are active participants at the Y and in their local community. She served as the President of the Montecito Family YMCA preschool’s Parent Advisory Council in 2012.
