Channel Islands Maritime Museum to present a theatrical evening with salt and sea story tellers Ken McAlpine and Woody Woodburn on Aug. 18

Channel Islands Maritime MuseumOXNARD — Join us for a theatrical evening with salt and sea story tellers Ken McAlpine and Woody Woodburn. Ken McAlpline is a Ventura author of both fiction and fact.Woody Woodburn is a national award-winning newspaper columnist, author, and “Streaker” who has run at least three miles every single day since July 7, 2003 and also lives in Ventura The lecture starts at 7 pm with refreshments served at 6:30 pm.

The Channel Islands Maritime Museum is open daily 11-5 pm. Located in Oxnard’s Channel Islands Harbor at 3900 Bluefin Circle. The  permanent exhibits include a seascape gallery of rare and beautiful  maritime paintings dating back to the 1600’s and more than sixty world-class models of historic ships, interactive contemporary exhibits and a gift shop. Admission to the museum is $5 for non-members, $4 for seniors 62+, $2 for children 6-17, free for members and children under 6. Third Thursday of the month is free.
