Oxnard College’s Latino Thought Maker Series to present ‘Sweet 15’ on Dec. 4

OXNARD — Oxnard College will present the next Latino Thought Makers Series event “Sweet 15” at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4 at the Oxnard College Performing Arts Center, 4000 S. Rose Ave., Oxnard.

The free special presentation of Rick Najera’s “Sweet 15” is a comedy based on a Latino family whose patriarch has just returned from a 10-year absence that began the day his daughter turned 15 and vows to put his family back on its feet under one condition — that they allow him to throw a Quinceanera (15th birthday) for his daughter who is now 25 years old.

This family comedy is filled with music, laughter and hilarious, unscripted audience participation, organizers reported.

To attend the free event, send an email to ocilpa@vcccd.edu and reserve your ticket(s).
