A “Writing Funshop” presented by local children’s book author Amada Irma Perez will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. Friday, June 29 at Downtown Sol, 328 W. Third St., Oxnard, reports owner Marisa Lopez. Suggested ages 7 to 12. Free.

- June 29 (6 to 9 p.m. ) “Fiber Art Felting” — Learn the art of felting and create a beautiful design suitable for framing. Fee: $45, plus $6 material fee.
- July 5, 12, 19 (1:30 to 4 p.m.) “Fashion & The Figure” — Join the ideal art class for emerging artists, 10 – 16 years old. Presented by Andrea Vargas-Medoza Fee: $25 for a single class or $80 for the series.
