Historic Fabing-McKay-Spanne House Tours

La Purisima Mission Historic State Park 2025 Events
Founded in 1787, La Purísima Mission is a stunning piece of California history, once home to both the Chumash people and Spanish settlers. Today, this living historical site, located between the Santa Maria River and Gaviota Coast, offers immersive experiences that bring the past to life. Founding Day at La Purísima Mission State Historic Park

Celebrate the rich history of La Purísima Mission on Founding Day, marking its 1787 establishment. The festivities begin with a special noon mass in the mission’s stunning church, followed by a 7 p.m. candle-lit concert, creating a serene and festive atmosphere. After the concert, guests are invited to enjoy light refreshments and connect with others in the beautiful La Sala. This annual celebration offers a peaceful and reflective way to honor the mission’s enduring legacy while soaking in the holiday spirit with the local community.
