Dear community supporters of Amigos805,
It’s hard to believe that we are already past the midpoint of 2014. Where has the year gone?
Soon, we will begin celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with a variety of events from Fiestas Patrias to gallery showings, cultural dance and musical performances and important information for the community such as the annual Binational Health Week (Month) activities in October.
For Amigos805, it has been a great year reaching our audience in the region and meeting our goal of “Bringing cultures together by sharing information.” By mid-2014 we had already reported nearly 1.3 million hits and 37,000 unique visitors to our website. Our weekly e-newsletter list continues to grow, and we have 300 likes and nearly 500 friends on Facebook and 161 followers on Twitter.
Thank you, community advertisers, for helping to sustain Amigos805 during our growing period. Your continued support has been vital as the economy continues its unsteady economic recovery.
We enjoy serving our community and providing every opportunity possible to offer nonprofit organizations with space for free public service announcements, media release links and calendar listings and blog postings throughout our multimedia platform.
But, we are a small, independent, minority-owned business. We do not have unlimited resources and we are not financially backed by any major media companies. In essence, we are a mom and pop business trying to provide the best media coverage for our audience.
As 2014 concludes, we are making an urgent appeal to potential advertising supporters of Amigos805. Please consider us in your advertising budget or tell businesses or organizations you patronize to advertise in Amigos805. Amigos805’s advertising rates offer an affordable option to reach Hispanics and others in the 805 region.
We will also accept donations to Amigos805 and will highlight your name, business or organization starting Sept. 1, 2014 in our 2014 list of Gold, Silver or Bronze Supporters.
Our goal for 2015 is to develop a monthly free distribution print magazine distributed at retail locations in the region. But we need your help to do that and to continue our operation.
Thank you very much for helping Amigos805 celebrate its sixth year in operation and for helping us grow as a vital media resource for the entire community in the 805 region.
Sincerely,
… Frank X. Moraga / Amigos805
