VENTURA COUNTY — Ventura County Animal Services (VCAS) has an exciting opportunity for a third veterinarian to join our team!
Our hospital is staffed with an incredible group of talented and passionate veterinary professionals who are dedicated to improving the health and well-being of the animals in our care and within our community. And while we take our job very seriously, we have a lot of fun and know how to have a good time along the way!
Our associate veterinarians spend most mornings performing high quality, high volume spay/neuter surgeries, and afternoons examining, diagnosing, and developing treatment plans for shelter animals. In addition, our veterinarians perform many other life-saving procedures, assist with forensic exams, are deployed to the “front lines” during disaster response efforts, and may provide medical counsel in the event of disease outbreaks or emerging animal diseases pertinent to the shelter setting. There is never a dull day in the shelter!
We are open to all experience levels and are hoping to recruit a kind, fun-loving and dedicated veterinarian who is looking to give back to our local community. A special interest in shelter medicine, HQHVSN surgery, herd health, and forensic medicine would be a plus!
