Southeast Ventura County YMCA Seeking Online Auction Donations

VENTURA — The Southeast Ventura County YMCA, with branches in Thousand Oaks, Simi Valley and Westlake Village, is seeking items for its Online Holiday Auction taking place November 19 through December 11.

Proceeds from the silent auction go to support local YMCA programs. When the YMCA branches were forced to close during the coronavirus pandemic, they immediately began offering online exercise and enrichment classes at no charge to the public. In addition to group fitness classes, the Y is currently hosting a distance learning support program for over 300 children in our community.

“As a nonprofit, we rely on donations to help underwrite our low cost or no cost activities. No one is every turned away from the Y because of an inability to pay. Donated auction items will enable us to raise funds to support the adult and youth programs that impact thousands of lives in the communities we serve,” says Megan Glynn, Chief Development Officer for the Southeast Ventura County YMCA.

The auction will be available on the YMCA branch websites and social media. To donate an item, contact Danielle Hutchison at dhutchison@sevymca.org
