VENTURA COUNTY — This past Saturday, SJFVC held an event in Nyeland Acres to highlight the work of Fellow Brenda Heredia. In her speech, Brenda noted that Nyeland Acres has been forgotten and neglected, which is why her thoughtful advocacy work has been vital for the Nyeland Acres community. Brenda listens to the needs of her community and has brought the resources they have asked for directly to them; Zumba classes, dental resources, health resources, and stress management classes have been widely used and appreciated by the community. Thank you, Brenda, for being an advocate for social justice in Nyeland Acres!
