CENTRAL COAST — The Central Coast Alliance United for a Sustainable Economy (CAUSE) will host its annual Raising Justice fundraiser and afternoon of community building with community members throughout Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties.
The event will take place from 2:30 to 5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26 at the Ventura Beach Marriot, 2055 Harbor Blvd. Ventura.
This year’s theme is “We are the Seeds: Grassroots Leaders are the Change we Seek!”
The 2019 annual event will focus on the stories of CAUSE community leaders and an inside look at how CAUSE organizes community empowerment from the grassroots up.
The event will also highlight some of CAUSE’s recent victories, including housing rights in Santa Barbara, the first ever teen center opening in Santa Paula, environmental justice issues in Oxnard, and farmworker rights in Santa Maria.
