OXNARD — The Oxnard School District’s 7th annual “Strengthening Our Families” conference will take place on Saturday, September 22 from 8 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at R.J. Frank Middle School, 701 North Juanita Avenue in Oxnard. The event will include activities for students and families.

The conference will be organized into different themes that are of interest to attendees. The sessions will include empowering youth and parents, pathways to college, positive parenting, family safety, self-care, and more. There will also be a community fair. Free childcare is available for children ages 5-12 years old. There will be translation available in English, Spanish and Mixteco.
Attendance is free and lunch is included for children and adults. Registration information is available at all school sites. For more information, contact Jennie Peraza at (805) 385-1501, 2161.
