Santa Paula Museum of Art — Week in review — Restore, Repurpose, Renew!

Come rain or shine this week, Teen Art Group mentor and artist Gabriel Cardenas worked to restore artist Xavier Montes’ mural at Chino’s Market in Santa Paula. Gabriel restored areas that had been subjected to fading and graffiti, and used the project as an opportunity to connect with local teens. We were also very excited to meet with painter Rima Muna and sculptor Duane Dammeyer recently. The two Ventura artists are collaborating on an exhibition entitled Inspiration and Influence, which will open March 14, 2020, at the Santa Paula Art Museum. We’ll be announcing our full 2020 exhibit lineup soon, and trust us, it’s really good.
