Republic Services Inc., a provider of solid waste collection, transfer and disposal services, recently launched a “Food and Funds Drive” in support of FOOD Share, Ventura County’s regional food bank, the organization reported this week in a media release.
Throughout the month of September, Republic Services, Inc. will donate 15 cents to FOOD Share for every pound of donated non-perishable food that is dropped off for FOOD Share at their Del Norte Regional and Recycling Center, 111 S. Del Norte Blvd.
On Sunday, Oct. 1, the “FOOD and Funds Drive” will continue when Republic collects FOOD Share donations at the 16th annual Multi-Cultural Festival taking place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Oxnard’s Downtown Plaza Park.
