CAMARILLO —Studio Channel Islands Arts Center (SCI), a non-profit dedicated to promoting and preserving the arts in Ventura County, invites individuals and businesses to attend its upcoming fifth annual Art à la Mode Gala to be held 5:30 p.m., Oct. 7, at the Las Posas Country Club, 955 Fairway Drive, Camarillo. This year’s event honors TOLD Corporation and celebrates the diverse art education programming SCI provides to all ages and abilities, as well as the many opportunities SCI provides to artists.
The Art à la Mode Gala offers an evening of gourmet dining, an opportunity to see inspirational artists demonstrating their craft and a chance to walk away with a work of art or other item from the live and silent auctions. The gala is SCI’s largest fundraiser with all proceeds going to support the art education and outreach programs and dynamic contemporary art exhibits offered through its art studios and Blackboard Gallery in Old Town Camarillo.
“We are grateful to TOLD Corporation for its stalwart support of SCI and our mission to advance the creative life within Ventura County,” said Peter Tyas, executive director of Studio Channel Islands Art Center. “We invite businesses and individuals from throughout the community to attend the gala to help us thank TOLD and to support SCI’s ongoing programs including artists-in-residence open studios, art education classes for adults and children, diverse Blackboard Gallery exhibitions, cultural events, community festivals and more.”
SCI is also currently seeking corporate and individual support through sponsorships and/or donations for the gala to help underwrite the event and raise funds for the organization to deliver its mission of engaging the community in unique arts experiences. There are six sponsorship levels available. Sponsorship benefits range from recognition on promotional materials, social media and websites to perpetual visual recognition on the Gallery sponsorship wall for 12 months.
