Museum of Ventura County update for May 31

The Museum of Ventura County wishes to thank local artist John Robertson for creating the beautiful background paintings that support the theme for this year’s Wearable Art Fashion Show, “Wearing Our Stories: Rising from the Ashes,” and help share the stories of courage amid the destruction left behind by the Thomas Fire.
Join us for the Museum of Ventura County’s annualWearable Art Fashion ShowJune 2 at the Museum’s Martin V. and Martha K. Smith Pavilion, 100 E Main Street, Ventura.
“Wearing Our Stories: Rising from the Ashes” focuses on stitching together the stories of courage amid destruction and mending the devastation left behind by the Thomas Fire.
Artwork by local artist John Robertson will provide the backdrop for the fashion show. Show will include designers Brecia Kralovic-Logan, Aimee French, Christine Leong, Janice Chan, Elaine Unziker and Greta Lovina. Pieces range from handmade jewelry to a wedding dress.
A VIP pre-reception will be held at 6 p.m. for VIP ticket holders.
General admission doors open at 6:45 and the fashion show begins at 7 p.m.
General admission ticket prices are $45 for non-members, $40 for members; VIP tickets are $75 for non-members, $70 for members.
VIP includes pre-reception with appetizers and one drink ticket.
