Dear friends,
We would like to bring to your attention that the 805 UndocuFund has been reactivated to help undocumented families affected by the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak in Ventura and Santa Barbara counties.
Undocumented families are among the most vulnerable and unfortunately, they will not be eligible to receive benefit from most of the relief programs provided by the local, state and federal governments including “stimulus checks”. As of April 10, 2020, the 805 UndocuFund had over 4,000 sign ups with 65% of sign ups saying that they lost their jobs due to the virus.
The 805 UndocuFund is currently fundraising and looking for volunteers to serve our community. This upcoming week, they will start processing application to provide financial assistance. They will need our support to help thousands of families that are facing hardship right now.
There are different ways to support The 805 UndocuFund:
· Tell your friends, family and colleagues to make a donation. More information at https://805undocufund.org/donate/
· Sign up to volunteer here: https://805undocufund.org/volunteer/
· Like their Facebook page to stay informed and help them reach more people: https://www.facebook.com/805undocufund
The 805 UndocuFund has the experience and support of important grassroots community organizations we know and trust. Since 2018, the 805 UndocuFund has provided financial assistance to over 1,851 families affected in previous crises such as Thomas Fire and they need our help more than ever.
Thank you very much for your kind attention. Please receive our best wishes for safety and health. |
