SANTA BARBARA — Cottage Center for Orthopedics presents a FREE Virtual Meet the Doctor event on Thursday, May 2, from 4 – 5 p.m., featuring orthopedic surgeon Dr. Rivka Ihejirika-Lomedico, who will provide valuable insights on optimizing bone health, focusing on osteoporosis and orthopedics.
Dr. Lomedico will cover various topics, including strategies for orthopedic injury prevention, understanding the risk factors associated with osteoporosis and the role of exercise, diet and nutrition in bone health maintenance. Additionally, participants will learn about bone health medications, explore various surgical options and engage in a Q&A session.
The Cottage Center for Orthopedics’ joint replacement program is the first on the Central Coast to achieve Primary Certification from The Joint Commission for both knee and hip replacement.
