July 31 is last day for United Way of Ventura County’s ‘Stuff the Bus’

CAMARILLO — United Way of Ventura County’s annual Stuff the Bus campaign is ending Wednesday, July 31, the organization reported Tuesday in a release.

Now’s your final chance to donate new school supplies to benefit children from low-income families in our communiity. Retailers such as Target, WalMart, K-Mart, Staples, Office Depot, and others have their back-to-school supplies in stock now so it’s easy to pick up these items and donate them to Stuff the Bus. In addition to the donation of new school supplies, you can also make monetary donations in support of United Way’s Stuff the Bus efforts to purchase new backpacks and additional supplies by doing the following:

  1. Make a minimum $10 online donation to Stuff the Bus. Click here.
  2. Make a $10 text-to-give donation to Stuff the Bus using your cellphone. Simply text the keyword UWVC to 27722. Standard message and data rates apply.
  3. Mail a check (payable to United Way of Ventura County) and mail it to: United Way of Ventura County, 4001 Mission Oaks Blvd., Suite E, Camarillo, CA 93012. Please write “Stuff the Bus” on the note/memo line.
