Aug. 12 — (Rescheduled) CLU School of Management Forward Together Webinar Series — Managing the Unimaginable: Crisis as an Opportunity with Kelly Kimball of Vitu

RESCHEDULED – New Date: Aug 12th

We had to unexpectedly reschedule this event and would like to again invite you to join the community and engage in the discussion, as we move FORWARD TOGETHER.

In this webinar, Kelly Kimball, Co-Founder and Executive Chairman at Vitu will share some perspectives on how managing the unimaginable can turn a crisis into an opportunity. The webinar will be informative, insightful and will offer participants a new perspective, from an experienced entrepreneur, leader and visionary. The session will have a brief 25-minute presentation followed by open Q&A.
Speaker:

  • Kelly Kimball, Co-Founder and Executive Chairman, Vitu

Moderator:

  • Gerhard Apfelthaler, Dean, School of Management
Kelly will analyze, through this topic, the concept of “game theory” – the belief that business is, as Simon Sinek says “The Infinite Game”. If we truly believe this, then the pandemic and resulting havoc must be looked at as merely a restructuring of the field. This was the ultimate disruption. There are those who choose to circle the wagons, merely surviving, until the threat has passed, and there are those contrarians who double down, press forward and take advantage of the disruption. Kelly would argue that those who choose the latter are taking an enormous risk, but the rewards are significant. The opportunities that are created in times of severe disruption are enormous and game-changing, and can dramatically alter the competitive landscape.

We hope you will join the community and engage in the discussion, as we move FORWARD TOGETHER.
