OXNARD — Ventura County Community Development Corporation (VCCDC) in Oxnard is hosting a free class for the community. This HUD-approved Homebuyer Education Workshop is taught in their Oxnard office in a group setting by certified Homeownership Specialists who are trained to guide attendees through the complex homebuying process. Attendees will learn everything you need to know to become a successful homebuyer including credit, budgeting, mortgage lending, the real estate process, home inspections, home insurance, down payment assistance programs and more! Attendees will receive a HUD-approved certificate at the end of the workshop which is requested for most down payment assistance programs and some mortgage loans. Workshops are held every 3rd Saturday of the month from 8:30am – 4:30pm.
