THOUSAND OAKS — Mental health is the foundation of healthy relationships, emotional wellbeing and positive connections to society. But one in five adults suffers from mental illness, and they have important stories to tell.
Join the California Museum of Art Thousand Oaks (CMATO) on Sunday, January 19, at 2:00 PM for “Mapping of the Mind,” a live performance that takes a unique look at mental illness through personal essays, songs and poetry. Presented by the Jewish Women’s Theatre, each story presents touching, humorous and truthful accounts about the courage it takes to live with mental illness.
Following the performance, enjoy a Q&A with the cast and a special curator-led tour of CMATO’s “Empathy: Beneath the Surface” exhibition. Visit www.cmato.org for more information and tickets!
