Hensley to be honored Aug. 3

Jim Hensley of Jim Hensley Information Service, which produces a weekly “Events Log,” will be honored at the 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3 weekly Stress, Health and Longevity class, held at 702 County Square Drive, Ventura, in the Cabrillo Economic Development Corp. building.

The free classes are led by Mohammed A. Hasan.

Qazi Uddin, PhD., will speak during the meeting on “Only you can prevent terrorism.”

A world philosopher, Uddin says everyone can take steps that can help bring down terrorism in this world, without violence. He will describe his experiences with those that twist  their thoughts to hijack a religion. Uddin is a graduate of State University of New York, writes regularly for the Ventura County Star and has taught in local colleges and universities. He is a Muslim and has lived  in America for the past 33 years.
