For the past six years, the first Wednesday in October has been recognized as Clean Air Day in California. Clean Air Day is our opportunity to take meaningful action for a healthier, cleaner community. On this day, thousands of individuals, businesses, nonprofits, schools, and cities across California come together to improve our air quality by attending Clean Air Day events and taking the Clean Air Day Pledge, created and promoted by the Coalition for Clean Air.
Whether it’s biking, walking, or taking public transit to work, eating vegan or vegetarian for the day, or taking advantage of rebates to electrify your home or vehicle, every small action counts toward cleaner air for everyone.
Individuals, small business owners, nonprofits, cities, schools, and corporations are all encouraged to participate in their own way. There are easy actions you can take from home, school, or work; And when you take the pledge at cleanairday.org/pledge, you’ll get a certificate and shareable graphics to show off your commitment to clean air! Sign up your organization or take the pledge yourself today. |
