Clinicas del Camino Real Inc. is hosting events this week in honor of National Women’s Health Week (May 13-19), the health care provider reported Thursday in a media release.
Clinicas invites the community to visit one of its 13 locations throughout the county and participate in many of the free activities being offered.
The theme for 2012 is “It’s Your Time.”
Clinicas wants women to make their health a top priority. Too often women will put everyone else’s needs before their own. Not this week because Clinicas is helping women make their health a priority by offering information and presentations on Oral Health, Prevention of Sexually Transmitted Infections, Nutrition, Prenatal Care, Healthy Lifestyles and more. Also, free health screenings are being offered including blood pressure, glucose, BMI, bone density, anemia, vision and dental screenings as well as pregnancy testing.
In order to remind women to take time out for themselves, during Women’s Health Week, several Clinicas locations will also be providing facials, manicures and will be teaching makeup application techniques, and exercise classes.
