SOMIS – Charras Unidas, a side saddle equestrian team is seeking donations for the upcoming National USA competition to obtain their pass to the Congreso Nacional in Mexico. The non-profit organization was founded in 2010.

“Escaramuza Charras Unidas is a non-profit organization based out of Ventura County preserving the tradition and art of “La Charreria”. We thank you for taking the time to read through our proposal. We are athletes of the Escaramuza, a side saddle equestrian team composed of 8 women who are passionate in riding horses and representing the Mexican culture and our country. We are competing for a spot in the Congreso Nacional taking place in Zacatecas, Mexico in October 2018 to represent the Mexican American women from the United States. As we take our last opportunity to obtain a pass to the Congreso we are reaching out for your support in a kind monetary donation to assist with our expenses of supplies, extensive training and travel cost.

In return we can hang a banner, wear a promotional shirt, hat, or jacket in honor of your support when we compete next weekend at the Campeonato Nacional USA taking place in Woodland, California on

September 2nd, 2018. Please advise if you find it in your heart to assist us in any way possible. Our team and board of directors are very grateful for your kindness and generosity in helping the community. With your support and assistance, we can preserve the tradition and compete to represent the U.S.”
