Channel Islands Maritime Museum Sponsors Whale Coloring Page Contest as Part of its Ongoing 30th Anniversary Celebrations

OXNARD — The Channel Islands Maritime Museum (CIMM) is happy to announce its March activity in celebration of its 30th anniversary year. Local artist Brett Bednorz has created a wonderful whale “totem” coloring page for the Museum in honor of the magnificent animals that are so often seen off the local coast. Coloring contest participants are invited to let their creativity and imagination run wild. There will be four age categories, Adults? 18 years and up, Teens – 13-17 years, Kids – 7-12 years, and Kids – 6 years and under. One coloring winner will be selected in each age group.

“We are certainly very sad about not being able to hold our annual community Celebration of the Whales event again this year,” said CIMM Executive Director Adri Howe. “Although we are unable to hold the event in 2021, we still wanted to find a fun and creative way to celebrate our beautiful and awe?inspiring ocean neighbors.”

The coloring contest will run through March 31st, 2021, with entries being due no later than April 5th, 2021, in order to be considered in the judging. For all information, rules, and prizes on the coloring contest, please go to the Museum’s website at www.cimmvc.org starting on March 1st. You can also download your copy of the CIMM coloring page from the website at https://cimmvc.org
