VENTURA — Ventura County Clerk-Recorder, Registrar of Voters Mark Lunn announced today that Vote By Mail ballots for the March 3, 2020 Presidential Primary Election will be available beginning Monday, February 3, 2020. All voters have the option to vote by mail. This method allows voters to vote from home at their convenience and return their ballot by mail.
Voters who are not on the permanent Vote By Mail ballot list and want to vote by mail should complete and return the application on the Elections Division website www.venturavote.org on the Elections Forms menu. Voters may also apply in person Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., at the Elections Division located in the Hall of Administration, Lower Plaza, 800 S. Victoria Avenue, Ventura.
Vote By Mail voters have several options to return their voted ballot. Two 24-hour ballot drop boxes are located at the Ventura County Government Center outside of the Hall of Administration. Ballots can also be returned to any City Clerk’s office during their regular business hours. A complete list of ballot drop box locations including addresses can be found at www.venturavote.org.
Ballots may also be dropped off through March 3, 2020 at the Elections Division, or returned to any Ventura County polling place on Election Day by 8:00 p.m.
No postage is necessary to return ballots by mail. Ballots postmarked no later than March 3, 2020 will be accepted up to Friday, March 6, 2020.
