VENTURA — Ventura County Clerk-Recorder, Registrar of Voters Mark Lunn today announced the official election results certification for the November 8, 2022 General Election with 100% of Ventura County’s 1,640 precincts reporting. A total of 284,013 ballots were cast in this General Election: 89% of the ballots were cast by Vote-By-Mail ballots and 11% were cast in person at County Vote Centers. Ventura County had an overall voter turnout of 56.2%. This Election plus the June 7, 2022 Statewide Direct Primary Election complete the first full Voter’s Choice Act (“VCA”) Election cycle for Ventura County.

The 2022 General Election is the last election to be executed under the leadership of Registrar of Voters Mark Lunn. The November 8 Election caps Lunn’s 12-year tenure of election safety, election security, and election transparency and is his 42nd consecutive election to certify early. Adhering to California Election Code, the vote count of all in-person voting and early Vote-By-Mail ballots was completed on Election Night. Bi-weekly updates were made during the canvass period for all remaining Vote-By-Mail processing. Election staff facilitated observers’ viewing of ballot processing election operations both in-person and remotely before, during and after the election. A fully-staffed call center provided election information and voter assistance for five weeks. Venturavote.org kept a running calendar of the election canvass activities and social media posts kept voters informed throughout.
“This is a bittersweet experience for me. I’m going to miss working with the excellent team we’ve built here. And that includes not only the talented and very hard-working staff but the dedicated election workers from our community and the volunteer County employees,” said Lunn. “That said, it’s a good feeling to know what a strong, capable team will continue on and I take pride in all the work we’ve done together.”

VENTURA – – El Secretario de votantes Registrados del Condado de Ventura Mark Lunn hoy anuncio los resultados oficiales de la eleccion general del 8 de Noviembre 2002 con el 100% del condado de Ventura y los 1,640 distritos electorales. Un total de 284,013 boletas fueron entregadas en esta eleccion general: 89% fueron enviadas por correo y 11% fueron entregadas en persona en los centros de votacion. El condado de Ventura tuvo una participacion total de 56.2%. Esta eleccion junto con la estatal primaria del 7 de Junio 2022 completaron el primer gran ciclo de eleccion del acto de votantes en el condado de Ventura.

La eleccion general 2022 es la ultima eleccion bajo el liderazgo del secretario de votantes Mark Lunn. La eleccion del 8 de Noviembre termina una racha de 12 anos de elecciones seguras, garantizadas y claras y tambien es su eleccion consecutiva numero 42 en certificar con anticipacion. Cumpliendo con el codigo electoral de California, el conteo de votos de todas las personas que votaron en persona y por correo fue finalizado la noche de la eleccion. Cada quincena habia noticias durante el periodo de la eleccion por las boletas enviadas por correo. El personal de elecciones ayudaba a los ciudadanos a ver el proceso de las boletas y sus operaciones en persona o virtualmente antes, durante y despues de la eleccion. Un centro de llamadas lleno de personal proporciono informacion electoral y asistencia a los votantes por cinco semanas.
