Bilingual report — Ventura County Area Agency on Aging Legacy Award Nominations Now Open

VENTURA — The nomination period for the Ventura County Area Agency on Aging’s LEGACY Awards is now open. These awards recognize the contributions of Ventura County residents and businesses that are dedicated to helping older adults, people with disabilities, and their caregivers, to live optimally.

The deadline for submitting nominations is Sunday, September 1, 2024. The winners will be announced in November. Click here to see to download the nomination.

There are three nomination categories: Business/Organization, Dementia Friendly Business/Organization, and Community Member (Volunteer Based).

LAS NOMINACIONES A LOS PREMIOS VCAAA LEGACY YA ESTÁN ABIERTAS

 

VENTURA — El período de nominaciones para los Premios LEGACY de la Agencia sobre el Envejecimiento del Área del Condado de Ventura ya está abierto. Estos premios reconocen las contribuciones de los residentes y empresas del Condado de Ventura que se dedican a ayudar a los adultos mayores, las personas con discapacidades y sus proveedores de cuidado a vivir de manera óptima.

La fecha límite para presentar nominaciones es el Domingo 1 de Septiembre de 2024. Los ganadores se anunciarán en Noviembre. Se adjunta el paquete de nominación.

Hay tres categorías de nominaciones: Empresa/Organización, Empresa/Organización Amigable con la Demencia y Miembro de la Comunidad (Basado en Voluntarios).

ABOUT: The Ventura County Area Agency on Aging, a division of the County of Ventura’s Human Services Agency, is charged with the responsibility to promote the development and implementation of a comprehensive coordinated system of care that enables older individuals, children and adults with disabilities, and their caregivers to live in a community-based setting. The VCAAA advocates for the needs of those 60 years and older in the county, providing leadership and promoting citizen involvement in the planning process as well as in the delivery of services.
