The Social Justice Fund for Ventura County has announced a series of programs benefiting the community.
The “Building a Strong Community” workshop will be presented from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19 at the Center for Employment Training, 761 So. C St., Oxnard.
“In this workshop led by Jarrod Schwartz, founder of Just Communities Central Coast, we will learn firsthand how privilege, power, and oppression define us, sometimes in surprising ways, and how these notions determine our access to jobs, housing, education, and healthcare in our communities,” fund representatives reported in a media release.
Suggested donation: $10.
