Dear Students, Parents, and Staff:
The Santa Maria Joint Union High School District Board of Education would like to thank you for your cooperation, patience, and flexibility during this time of the COVID-19 crisis.
As you are aware, Governor Gavin Newsom issued a stay at home order for California that extended our school closures through the end of the school year. Everyone is required to stay home except to get food, care for a relative or friend, get necessary health care, or go to an essential job. We encourage everyone to follow health guidelines to stay safe.
We ask that you please be patient with the district and school sites as we progress through this health crisis. You can find updated information at SMJUHSD COVID-19 Resources which includes Remote Learning Resources, Tech Hotlines, Free Meal Information, Facts and Preventive Measures for COVID-19, and other resources for students, parents, and staff.
Even though our school facilities are closed for the remainder of the school year, our commitment to distance learning continues. Plans for Semester 2 grading/credits have been developed and posted on the website. Information on graduations and other end-of- year events will be sent out soon.
Our thoughts and prayers are with each and every one of you. Please contact your school site or the district office should any need arise or if you have any questions.

El Consejo de Educación del Distrito Escolar Unificado de Escuelas Preparatorias de Santa María (SMJUHSD) desea agradecerle por su cooperación, paciencia y flexibilidad durante este tiempo de la crisis COVID-19.
Como saben, el gobernador Gavin Newsom emitió una orden de refugiarse en el hogar para California que extendió nuestros cierres escolares hasta el final del año escolar. Todos están obligados a quedarse en casa, excepto para obtener alimentos, cuidar a un pariente o amigo, obtener la atención médica necesaria o ir a un trabajo esencial. Alentamos a todos a seguir las pautas de salud para mantenerse seguros.
Le pedimos que sea paciente con el distrito y las escuelas a medida que avanzamos en esta crisis de salud. A pesar de que nuestras instalaciones escolares están cerradas por el resto del año escolar, nuestro compromiso con el aprendizaje a distancia continúa.
