Aug. 14 — Wildling Museum invites community to visit for second annual free Summer Family Day

SOLVANG — The Wildling Museum is pleased to announce its second annual free Summer Family Day on Sunday, August 14, 2022, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. Visitors are invited to bring the whole family and enjoy free museum admission during event hours, a fairy visit and eco glitter tattoos by Parties and Paint by Kate from 1 – 3 p.m., art activities for all ages, and more.

“We are thrilled to open our doors for our second annual Summer Family Day at the Wildling Museum,” said Executive Director Stacey Otte-Demangate. “We feel it is important to invite the community to visit with art and activities that all ages can enjoy.”

Among the art activities on hand will be drop-in rock painting with teaching artist Kathy Badrak. Attendees will be able to take a rock home and also leave one at the Wildling to beautify the surrounding sidewalks and share their art with Solvang visitors.

Guests will also have the chance to explore current museum exhibitions Fire & Ice: Our Changing Landscape, Recent Acquisitions, Prints from the Permanent Collection, and experience the ongoing Portals & Pathways installation by artist Kerrie Smith in the Michele Kuelbs Tower Gallery.
