The public is invited to a meet and greet program featuring William Strickland, founder and director of the Manchester Craftsman’s Guild and the Bidwell Training Center, from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 31 at Café on A, 438 So. A St., Oxnard.
Presented by the City of Oxnard and the Acuna Art Gallery at Café on A, Strickland address the Cultural Arts Committee about the possibilities inherent in replicating the Manchester Guild programs in Oxnard, as he has done in 10 other major U.S. Cities. Oxnard would be the first rural model.
We are inviting the public to come out and hear the presentation that Mr. Bill Strickland will provide to the city’s arts committee. The historic public presentation will take place on Tuesday, July 31 from 1:30 to 3 p.m. at the city’s general meeting room at 300 W. Third St., Human Resources Activity Room, Oxnard, said Debra DeVries, co-founder of the Acuna Art Gallery at Café on A.
Following the Café on A program, Strickland will make a formal presentation the Oxnard City Council at the start of the Oxnard City Council meeting and should begin at approximately at 7:30 p.m.
All citizens of Oxnard and throughout the greater Ventura County area are invited to attend this public presentation by one of the great creative community builders of our time, Mr. William Strickland, DeVries said.
