The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency is sponsoring a Building Resilient Communities Forum for Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties in conjunction with the Ventura County Community Development Corporation as a follow-up to the Disaster Recovery Forum held in 2018. We wish to continue to explore the on-going disaster recovery efforts, the current needs, and identify solutions for Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties’ lower-income communities.
You are cordially invited to attend this Forum along with financial institutions, nonprofit community-based organizations, foundations, CDFIs, and government agencies. The forum will include panel presentations to frame the issues of disaster recovery including strategies for sustaining and building small businesses, creating affordable housing resiliency, and mechanisms to access capital. A facilitated group discussion of these issues will help identify next steps to achieve viable outcomes.
Continental breakfast and boxed lunch will be provided.
Due to space limitations, we will be able to accommodate up to two representatives from each organization.
This event is co-sponsored by the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency in conjunction with the Ventura County Community Development Corporation and the Family Financial Well-Being Collaborative.
