April 10 — Building Bridges — Free event helps employers tackle today’s toughest workforce challenges

OXNARD — West Ventura County Business Alliance (WVCBA) is co-hosting “Building Bridges: Workforce Solutions for Business Success,” a complimentary, collaborative summit to help local employers tackle workforce challenges. The half-day event is a partnership with Goodwill Industries of Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties, HR Force, Workforce Development Board of Ventura County, and Ventura County Community College District.

Building Bridges is scheduled for Thursday, April 10, from 1:00-5:00 pm at Goodwill Industries of Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties (1401 N. Rice Avenue, Oxnard, CA 93030). It is designed to connect employers with a myriad of resource partners that offer low-cost or no-cost programs and assistance.

“There are a lot of outstanding, local organizations that offer invaluable resources for employers,” says WVCBA President & CEO Andy Conli. “We’re putting everything under one roof to let businesses know what’s available to them.”

Event Highlights:

  • Partner organizations will discuss their business support services that help employers promote development through placement, hiring, training, and more.
  • Leaders from large, medium and small businesses will share their success stories.
  • After the program concludes, attendees are invited to stay for a networking mixer with appetizers, drinks, and raffle prizes.

The event is free to attend but advanced registration is required. Register online at www.wvcba.org or by calling WVCBA at (805) 738-9100. Learn more at https://buildingbridgesventuracounty.com
