OXNARD — Mystic Whaler, the educational schooner, will be offering a Dockside Plankton Lab on March 29, 2025, from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. in Channel Islands Harbor, Oxnard.
The public is invited to come and learn about these tiny plants and animals that live in and help support and feed The Ocean. Participants will have the chance to witness a plankton tow, view plankton under a microscope, and participate in a plankton craft. Space is limited and an RSVP is required for the Lab. Mystic Whaler has also scheduled three public day sails on April 6, May 11, and May 31. These are 3-hour adventure sails in the beautiful Santa Barbara Channel. Spot the Channel’s amazing wildlife, learn about traditional sailing, experience a ship’s cannon demonstration, or just relax as Mystic Whaler carries you across the waves… Tickets for the day sails are available at https://www.centralcoastoceanadventures.org/public-day-sails
