Five Attorneys Named Partners At Employment Law Firm LightGabler

CAMARILLO — Five attorneys at Camarillo-based employment law firm LightGabler are now partners effective January 1, 2024.

Elevated to partner are Chandra Beaton, Ryan Haws, Michael Brody, Jaime Stein and Angela Lopez.  The partners counsel businesses and nonprofits to reduce employer-related liability and protect against lawsuits and are experienced litigators who represent clients in employment and business litigation.

This is the second year that De La Torre has been selected.

Jonathan Light & Karen Gabler Named To 2022 Southern California Super Lawyers List

Jonathan Fraser Light and Karen L. Gabler, attorneys in the Camarillo-based law firm of LightGabler, have been selected to the 2022 Southern California Super Lawyers list.

March 8 — Harassment Prevention Training Webinar By Employment Law Firm LightGabler

Employment law firm LightGabler is providing live, online sexual harassment and bullying prevention training courses for supervisors and non-supervisory employees on Tuesday, March 8.

California law requires that companies with five or more employees provide two hours of supervisory training and one hour of staff training every two years on harassment, discrimination, bullying and retaliation prevention. Agricultural employers must provide this training every year. New supervisors need to be trained within six months of starting a supervisory position and new employees must have training within six months of being hired.

March 23 — Free LightGabler Webinar: Employing the Absent Employee

Mandated Harassment Prevention Training Video Available Through LightGabler

California law requires employers with at least 5 employees to provide two hours of harassment prevention training to supervisors and one hour of instruction to other workers once every two years. Employment law firm LightGabler offers online video courses that meet California harassment and bullying training requirements.

SB 1343 also mandates that employers must train newly hired employees and those promoted to supervisory roles within six months of employment or promotion.

Employment Law Firm LightGabler Named Business of the Year by Simi Chamber

Employment law firm LightGabler was named “Business of the Year” by the Simi Valley Chamber of Commerce. The award was announced virtually on February 19 at the Chamber’s online Salute to Excellence Awards program.

The Chamber singled out LightGabler for “educating and assisting the business community with financial support, resources and compliance with legal and employment law changes throughout 2020.”

Attorney Karen L. Gabler Honored With San Fernando Valley Business Journal’s Valued Mentor Award

Karen L. Gabler, attorney with the Camarillo law firm LightGabler, was one of six professionals honored as a Valued Mentor of 2020 by the San Fernando Valley Business Journal. The honorees were announced at an August 20 virtual event.

This inaugural award was created to honor executives who mentor others in their profession and help ready the next generation of leaders.
