June 14 — Yarrow YMCA in Westlake Village presents ‘Parents’ Night Out’

WESTLAKE VILLAGE — Parents can have an evening out or spend a quiet evening at home while their kids have fun under supervised care at the Yarrow Family YMCA, Friday, June 14 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The Y’s Parents’ Night Out is open to YMCA members and nonmembers.

The evening will have a Hawaiian theme. Kids will take part in a Hawaiian Luau Party featuring games, arts & crafts, a themed game room and free play.  All activities are monitored/led by YMCA staff. Kids must be age 4 through 11 and be able to use the restroom on their own.

Nov. 17 — Yarrow YMCA’s ‘Parents’ Night Out’

WESTLAKE VILLAGE — Parents can have an evening out, get a head start on holiday shopping or spend a quiet evening at home while their kids have fun under supervised care at the Yarrow Family YMCA, Friday, November 17 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The Y’s Parents’ Night Out is open to YMCA members and nonmembers.

Activities include games, arts & crafts, dance and basketball gym free play. All activities are monitored/led by YMCA staff. Kids must be age 4 or up and be able to use the restroom on their own.

Second Session of Southeast Ventura County YMCA STEM Club For Middle Schoolers Begins January 19

The Southeast Ventura County YMCA and the Columbia Memorial Space Center’s second unit of their STEM Club for local middle schoolers begins January 19 online. The session focuses on solar chemistry and runs through March 26.

Middle schoolers meet online Tuesday through Thursday from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Yarrow YMCA Opens 9,000 Square Foot Outdoor Fitness Facility

The Yarrow Family YMCA in Westlake Village has opened a nearly 9,000 square foot covered outdoor fitness facility in its back parking lot (31105 East Thousand Oaks Blvd.). The facility opened November 2.

The exercise area contains cardio equipment and weights to provide members an opportunity to workout in a COVID-compliant setting until Los Angeles County officially enters the red tier level and gyms can reopen indoors.
