Bilingual report — Metrolink and Amtrak Pacific Surfliner Partner for Dodgers-Angels Games and Swallows Day Parade Service

Metrolink and Amtrak Pacific Surfliner have partnered to provide seamless, round-trip train service to and from the upcoming Swallows Day Parade in San Juan Capistrano, as well as three preseason baseball games between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

For the Swallows Day Parade on Saturday, March 25, and the Angels versus Dodgers game at Dodger Stadium on Sunday, March 26, riders with either a valid Metrolink or Amtrak ticket may board either train service between Los Angeles and San Juan Capistrano, at no extra charge.

Metrolink Offers 30% Off Monthly Passes Through End of 2022

In celebration of its upcoming 30th anniversary on Oct. 26, Metrolink has introduced a 30 percent sale on its Monthly Pass. The 30% discount is open to all Metrolink riders for three months – October, November and December 2022 and is automatically applied at purchase.

Metrolink’s Monthly Pass also features bonus perks for loyal riders. In addition to unlimited rides between selected station pairs and system-wide access on weekends. The Monthly Pass now includes a “Bring a Friend Pass” and extra SoCal Explorer rewards points at no additional cost. As Metrolink’s Summer of Adventure winds down, travelers looking for deals can take advantage of the $10 Holiday Pass this Labor Day. Metrolink encourages everyone to take the train during the long holiday weekend to avoid traffic congestion, save on high gas prices, and to help the Southern California environment. 

The $10 Holiday Pass provides unlimited rides throughout the Metrolink train system on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 5. More information can be found here. 

On Saturday and Sunday of the holiday weekend, riders can also save with Metrolink’s $10 Weekend Day Pass that provides unlimited rides throughout the system on the day of purchase. Metrolink Installs Antimicrobial Air Filters Aboard All Trains to Protect Health and Safety of Passengers and Employees

As COVID-19 cases across the state soar, Metrolink – Southern California’s regional passenger train service – is again stepping up efforts to keep safe and healthy its riders and employees, the essential workers keeping our communities functioning. Today, Metrolink announced the addition of new, state-of-the-art antimicrobial air filters on all its train cars to ensure the air passengers breathe throughout their journey is safe and clean.

In March, Metrolink began implementing a new multi-faceted health and safety program to keep riders and Metrolink employees safe during the COVID-19 pandemic. These efforts include a face-mask requirement at station platforms and aboard trains, enhanced cleaning and sanitizing measures, and partnerships with leading health and safety institutions for guidance on health matters.

Metrolink Announces Kids Ride Free Weekends Beginning Saturday, Aug. 29

After months at home, SoCal families are looking to add some enjoyment to their weekends, and Metrolink has just the ticket – a free ticket for kids. Beginning Saturday, August 29, Metrolink is introducing Kids Ride Free on weekends anywhere Metrolink travels across six Southern California counties.

“After being cooped up we know folks are ready to change their routines with fun, yet safe, activities for the entire family,” said Metrolink Board Chair Brian Humphrey. “When you ride the train, the journey is a part of the experience and we want families to enjoy a special and affordable train experience as they explore the many outdoor activities we all love about Southern California.”
