New Grief Support Groups at Livingston’s Camarillo Grief Center

CAMARILLO — Livingston’s Camarillo Grief Center is adding new grief support groups that cater to specific bereavement needs this coming January. These close-ended support groups are Adult Loss of Parent (February 6th through March 26th), Parent Loss of Child (March 7th through May 9th), and Adult Loss of Sibling (March 26th through May 7th). CAMARILLO — Livingston Memorial Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice is bringing back their beloved Life Story program. This program is designed to provide both community members and hospice patients the opportunity to record their personal memoirs.

Livingston’s Grief and Bereavement Program Announces New Group for LGBTQ+ Community

Livingston is pleased to announce a new free 10-week grief support group program for our LGBTQ+ community. The group will meet every Tuesday from February 7th through April 11th. Livingston Memorial Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice to present ‘Healing Grief Through Poetry’ group.

This group will provide an opportunity for those seeking a creative and inspirational way to express feelings of grief through poetry. This grief support group meets every Monday from 6:00 to 7:00 PM and will start on July 10th and end on July 31st. Registration is required.

Oct. 23 — Livingston Memorial Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice to present Comprehensive Bereavement Training Class

CAMARILLO — Livingston Memorial Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice to present Comprehensive Bereavement Training Class from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. on Oct. 16 23 in Camarillo.

This class is designed to provide information on healthy grieving and how we can best companion someone who is mourning the death of a loved one.

Continuing — Livingston Memorial Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice presenting Free Grief & Bereavement Support Groups

CAMARILLO — Bereavement counseling can offer the support you need to help you through your grief. Livingston’s Grief and Bereavement Program offers both individual (one-on-one) counseling with trained bereavement counselors/therapists and group counseling.  

All support groups are free for the community.

Livingston’s Grief Support for Children and Young Teens

Many children and teens have experienced the death of a loved one during the pandemic. This is a difficult time for anyone grieving a loss. Livingston’s Grief and Bereavement Program recognizes the value children and teens receive from sharing their grief experience with their peers. Our groups provide support, connection and validation that they are not alone. 

The Good Grief Club meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of every month from 5:30 to 7 pm
The Young Teen Group meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month from 5:30 to 6:30 pm
