Frank at Glen Canyon DamFrank X. Moraga, publisher/editor, can trace his family roots in Ventura County back to the 1870s when his great-grandfather settled in Ventura, before establishing a livery stable and blacksmith shop in the El Rio neighborhood of Oxnard.

Born in Oxnard, a traveler to such foreign lands as Iran, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan (thank you U.S. Navy), Mexico, Ireland, Scotland, Wales and England, Frank’s life has been one of constant movement and a love of the rich mosaic of people, places and cultures.

Frank has received numerous awards and recognitions in more than 20 years’ experience in journalism and community relations. He works with clients to maximize their outreach to target audiences through print, photography, video and Web content and design. He specializes in multicultural communications and seeks to provide a communications voice for under-represented communities.

He is a past board member for El Concilio Family Services, a past member of the United Way of Ventura County’s Latino Action Team, a past member of the communications committee of Teatro de las Américas and former president of the Tri-Counties Chapter of the CCNMA — Latino Journalists of California.

Frank is a life-time member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists, has served as a business and City of Oxnard reporter for the Ventura Star-Free Press, business editor for the Oxnard Press-Courier, business editor and director of diversity for the Ventura County Star and general manger of the Star’s bilingual weekly newspaper — Mi Estrella.
